The exercises are primarily concerned with restoring health of the internal organs, or treating specific problems directly.

About Tao Yin Exercises
Tao Yin consists of exercises that use the breath to relax and balance the body systems, and promote good health. A typical exercise involves gentle movement of the arms and body, coordinated with controlled inhalation and exhalation.
During an exercise, your breath leads, assisted by the body movements and the breath is never held at anytime. The effects created by deep breathing on your internal organs leads to increase energy levels.
